MASTER PROGRAM IN FOOD TECHNOLOGY IN 2024

Can Tho University officially enroll students in the Master of Food Technology program in 2024 (research-oriented program, Instructed in English) as follows:

1. Citizenship: All citizenship

2. Admission: Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

2.1 Qualifications

1. Engineers and scientists must have an academic Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Post harvest technology, Technology of seafood processing, Food safety and quality assurance, Food engineering, Biology, Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical engineering, or relevant disciplines decided by the Admission Council to meet standard entry requirements. Applicants are expected to have basic science training in at least 3 out of 4 of the following fields: (1) Mathematics, Statistics, Physics; (2) Chemistry, Biochemistry; (3) Biology, Microbiology; (4) Engineering; either Good graded degree or evidence of scientific publications related to the applied discipline.
2. Applicants having obtained a BSc degree from a program where English is not the language of instruction need to achieve an IELTS score of at least 5.5 (each band) or a certified equivalent competence (according to the Table of References for conversion of some foreign language diplomas and certificates in equivalence to Level 4 by the Vietnamese Foreign Languages Competence Framework in support of admission and education in Master's academic programs as annexed to Circular 23/2021/TT-BGDĐT dated August 30th 2021 by the Minister of Education and Training).

2.2 Professional experience: no specific requirement

2.3 Curriculum vitae: clear and transparent (not in the period of warning or discipline; not in the period of criminal judgment)

3. Training type and duration

Training type: full-time Master's program in Food Technology (research-oriented).

• Training duration: 24 months
• Maximum extended duration: 48 months

6. Important dates

Submission deadline: June 30th,  2024

Announcement of successful applications: July 15th, 2024

Expected enrollment date: October 15th, 2024

7. Entry conditions

The applicants will be selected for admission by the CTU Master Program Admission Council based on the interview results, English qualifications, and other requirements mentioned in 2.1.

8. Fees

Registration fees: 50 USD/applicant.

Tuition: 4,000 USD/program (24 months)/student (tuition fee for an extended training period is not included).
